Research Focus

Bioengineer in Environmental Science and Technology, I hold a PhD in aquatic biogeochemistry. Since 2019, I have been working at Brussels Environment, where I have supervised European monitoring programmes covering the physico-chemical, chemical and biological quality of aquatic environments. Building on this experience, my current interests focus on microplastic concentrations in Brussels' surface waters, investigating their sources, transport and fate, as well as exploring their potential remediation strategies.
